Fundraising

Lin is a seasoned institutional fundraiser and grant writer with nearly a decade of experience helping progressive nonprofits identify and secure the resources to further their missions. Over the course of their career, they have won and managed large grants from both government agencies and private foundations, including major multi-year awards from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Ford Foundation, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the NY Department of Labor, and the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development. Lin currently partners with several NY nonprofits, including The Door and ANHD, to create compelling language about their work and mission and develop sustainable grants management systems.

Previously, Lin served as the Senior Development Content Manager for Demos, a national think tank focused on policy and narrative strategies to advance political, economic, and racial equity. In that role, they managed the full grant and reporting lifecycle for an $11+ million institutional funder portfolio. Prior to Demos, they were Senior Grants Officer at The Door, an organization that provides comprehensive youth development services in New York City. In that role, they managed the grant processes for an $8 million institutional giving portfolio for The Door’s career and education programming.
